The line detection smart function is mostly used for access alerting where a virtual line is drawn on top of a wall or gate in the camera’s field of view. The IP camera will take a snapshot of anything that crosses that line. What makes these cameras intelligent is that you can configure line detection to send signals to your alarm system, make the NVR beep, send an email or SMS alerts, or trigger recording.
