We are at the point in time where technology is constantly challenging the status quo, anything from cars to household appliances are becoming more technologically advanced and your security system should not be left behind. Surveillance manufactures such as Uniview is continuously pushing the technology boundaries by embedding their security cameras with a wide range of smart functions to cater for different scenarios. Examples of these smart functions include face detection, intrusion detection, scene change, line detection, audio exception and defocus detection. Let’s zoom in on some of the smart functions you can expect for our range of UNV cameras
Scene Change and Defocus Detection are two of the smart functions that Uniview’s pro – or prime series cameras have to offer.
Scene change stores a reference image from the current scenery and triggers an alarm if the image changes. To expand on this, Uniview cameras with the scene change smart function will detect the change in surveillance environment affected by external factors; such as the rotation of the camera, and you can then set up certain actions to be taken when the alarm is triggered. As a result, when the camera detects a scene change such as interference or tampering, like vandals spraying liquid on the camera dome, changing the camera direction or covering the camera with a cloth, the camera triggers an alarm.
Similar to scene change the defocus detection function stores a reference image from the current scene and triggers an alarm if the image focus or sharpness changes. This smart security feature from Uniview is suitable for various scenarios where you have outdoor cameras. Over time cameras get exposed to natural elements such as fog or heat, distorting or blurring your camera image/lens. This distortion causes unclear images that can result in you not capturing moments clearly. To avoid not being able to clearly record or capture important moments, Uniview has developed the defocus detection smart function to alert you as soon as a camera goes out of focus so that you can refocus it again.
As IP security and high-definition video technology progress, smart security solutions will make your video surveillance systems smarter and smarter. The following Uniview cameras have the scene change and defocus detection functions:
